Natural antioxidant solution for animal feed
Description
4DGE is a dry grape extract.
Under European legislation, a grape dry extract is defined by its total polyphenol content (> 80 %), in procyanidines (> 60 %) and in anthocyanines (> 0.75 %) (EFSA, 2b485).
The specific natural polyphenols in 4DGE are highly water soluble.
Objective
4DGE contains a broad range of antioxidative polyphenols. These antioxidative molecules can reduce the negative effects of oxidative stress.
Oxidative stress caused by diseases, general metabolism as well as environmental discomforts.
As 4DGE is much more efficient as the antioxidant Vit E, partly replacement of Vit E can be executed in a ratio of 1 to 11.
Mode of action
The strong antioxidative effects are due to neutralizing/scavenging the free radicals and due to the activation of the synthesis of the endogenous antioxidative enzymes (SOD, GPx).
Application
4DGE is to be used in the feed (either via premix or direct). 4DGE can be used to partly replace Vit E (1 to 11 kg Vit E) or vit E 50 (1 to 22 kg Vit E 50).
4DGE can also be added on top of the feed to improve general health status and performance of the animals.
